Mammograms

If you have an appointment for a mammogram, please do not put on any talcum powder after your morning shower.  You will be asked to change into a gown for this procedure. Images of your breasts are taken while your breast is compressed between two flat surfaces. This is not a painful procedure. After the mammogram you can change back into your clothes and are able to leave the department.  If your Dr requires films, please wait in the waiting room for a few minutes while they are being processed. There is no special post-procedure care after a mammogram.
