General X-Ray

General x-ray is the most common form of diagnostic imaging. X-ray uses electromagnetic radiation rays that are able to pass through skin and muscle but are blocked by bones and teeth creating a shadow effect image. X-rays are most commonly used to assess bone fractures and chest infections. There is no special preparation for an x-ray; however, we do suggest you wear loose-fitting clothes without any mental buckles or zippers.
